care for your beeswax candle

For optimum burn quality on our regular beeswax pillar candles:

1) To establish a lovely burn pool for our regular pillar candle, we recommend 2 hours for the first burn, then 4 hours for the second burn. Thereafter, burn for 3 hours or more.

This ensures that your beeswax pillar candle will not tunnel, because the burn pool is now set, and will be burned out to the rim with each subsequent 3 hour burn.

For the mini pillar range, they do not need to be burned in, however will thrive when burned for periods up to 3 hours. 1-2 hours being ideal.

For the beehives and dinner candles, these can be lit freely, for as long or short as you wish, and do not need to be burned in.

The approximate burn time for your pillar candles is: 150 hours for the 3XL, 110 for the XLarge, 90 hours for the large, 70 hours for the medium, 50 hours for the small.

For the mini pillar range: 44 hours for the XLarge, 33 hours for the large, 22 hours for the medium, and 11 hours for the small.

12 hours for the dinner taper, and 6 hours for the beehive.

To care for the wick, when extinguishing, please gently dip the wick into the melted wax pool. This will prime it for your next burn. Keep the wick trimmed to 6mm before each use.

It is suggested to burn your candles out of direct breeze, for longevity and brightness.

For safety, always burn your candle on a stable, level, non-flammable, heat resistant surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn your candle out of reach of children and pets.

Avoid drafts. Never burn candles on or near anything flammable. Handle lit flame with care as wax will become hot.
