Introducing our Limited Edition Fleur De Lis Beeswax Pillar Candle — a truly special and stunning pure Australian beeswax candle that is as rich in history as it is in beauty.
The Fleur De Lis symbol has graced cultures and civilisations across the world for centuries, carrying with it many meanings and stories. For us at Tree House Candles, it represents peace, love and joy — and we can think of no better way to honour that than to craft it from 100% pure Australian beeswax.
A beautiful centrepiece for any special occasion, or simply another reason to have something truly stunning burning in your home, places and spaces. Once you see the Fleur De Lis lit and glowing, you'll understand why we couldn't resist making it!
As with our regular pillar candle range, your Fleur De Lis beeswax pillar candle will need to be burned in first to establish the burn pool. Please burn for 2 hours for your first burn, then 4 hours for your second burn. Thereafter, a minimum of 3 hours each time you light it will ensure your candle thrives beautifully and does not tunnel.
The high melting point of natural beeswax ensures a wonderfully slow, clean burn. No dripping, no losing shape — just a pure beeswax candle burning beautifully right down to the bottom.
Mould Size: 7.0cm x 8.8cm Burn Time: Approximately 60 hours Weight: 328 grams of 100% pure Australian beeswaxWick: 100% pure cotton Availability: Limited Edition — Limited Stock Only
We source our beeswax exclusively from local Australian apiarists who love their bees, and our wicks are the highest quality pure cotton. From start to finish, it is our intention to craft our handmade beeswax candles to remain as close as possible to what the bees make when they create their wax. A minimum human footprint is our goal.
This ensures a stunning, luxury Australian beeswax candle experience with every candle we make — giving our customers the 'Rolls Royce' of service, product, and the vast benefits to be enjoyed when burning pure beeswax candles. It is also our way of giving thanks to the bees, for the incredible gift of their wax, and making sure it is never wasted.
Candle Care
Candle Care
Until we started making beeswax candles, we had never received any instructions about how to burn candles! Perhaps you are the same.
As beeswax is such a precious resource from the bees, we make it a priority to educate on the ways to burn our beeswax candles, to prevent tunnelling, and ensure the beauty and longevity of each of the candles, right through until the wick falls over at the end.
For the 7.5cm diameter standard pillar candles:
To prevent tunnelling, and establish a lovely burn pool for the 7.5cm diameter pillar candle, we recommend that on the first burn, you burn it for 2 hours, and the second burn, burn for 4 hours. Thereafter, we suggest you burn this size pillar for 3 hours or more each time you light it. (This includes the Fleur De Lis pillar candle range). This size beeswax pillar candle will thrive when burned for long periods of time, once the burn pool is created, the candle really comes to life!
For the 4.2cm diameter mini pillar candles:
This size pillar candle range, the mini pillars, are designed for a shorter burn time experience. To optimise the burn experience, and longevity of these pillars, we recommend that they be lit for a minimum of 1 hour each time they are lit. This will ensure that the burn pool reaches the rim of the candle each time, preventing tunnelling. These mini pillar beeswax candles are also robust enough to burn for longer periods of time, well beyond that 1st hour, and will glow equally as beautifully as the larger pillar size.
For the Beehive and Dinner Taper Candles:
These two size candles can be burned freely, and do not need to be prepared as the pillar candles do. To care for the wick, keep the wick trimmed to 6mm before each use.
Good candle care includes looking after the wick:
When extinguishing, gently dip the wick into the melted wax pool and stand it back up again. This will prime it for your next burn. Thereafter, keep the wick trimmed to 6mm before each use. The way to tell if the wick needs trimming, is when you see it has a 'mushroom top'. To trim the wick, simply snap the mushroom top off the wick with your fingers.
For longevity and brightness, please burn candles out of direct breeze.
For safety:
Always burn your candle on a stable, level, non-flammable, heat resistant surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn your candle out of reach of children and pets. Avoid drafts. Never burn candles on or near anything flammable. Handle lit candles with care as wax will become hot when melted.
